Marc Griffiths joined the SuSy tech team this month, as a frontend developer. To start with, he’ll be working on the PRAHEP social housing project, alongside SuSy’s other new hire, George Paschos. We caught up with Marc after a couple of weeks on the job.
What’s your role?
I am a creative developer at SuSy and I will be building all of the frontend stuff for upcoming projects. Basically that means creating lots of cool things.
I will be working on SuSy’s PRAHEP project in the coming months alongside George as well as other ongoing projects and it all looked to be very exciting.
What’s your story?
I spent 10 years working in digital marketing in the charity sector before moving into web development.
Following that I worked in and for agencies in a creative capacity, building websites using WordPress and 3D and other cool technologies before moving into building creative digital ‘stuff’ for the gaming industry.
Why were you interested in SuSy?
I came to SuSy after looking for a place with more purposeful values. I wanted to join a team where I believed we could make a difference.
How have your first weeks been?
I think that SuSy is going to be a really great place to work. My first weeks have been really good and to be honest its probably one of the nicest groups of people I have worked with.
What are you looking forward to?
There are lots of big, exciting plans here and I think it is quite inspirational what we are trying to achieve here. We have a great, creative bunch of people and I am looking forward to really getting stuck in.
What do you enjoy outside of work?
In my spare time I love to play music, I am a keen kickboxer and I like to attempt to play golf, badly.
