September was an exciting and eventful month for SuSy House! From securing new partnerships to attending key industry events, we’ve made significant strides on our journey toward innovation and growth. Here’s a quick recap of what we’ve been up to.
We’re thrilled to announce that SuSy House has been selected for the highly competitive REACH UK 2024 cohort! Alongside seven other innovative companies, we’ve secured investment from REACH UK, an accelerator program recognized for supporting proptech scale-ups across real estate, finance, insurance, and home services. Launched in 2020 by Second Century Ventures, the REACH UK program has rapidly become a leader in proptech innovation.
As part of this journey, we’ve also gained investment from TDS and Propertymark, who will serve as valuable strategic partners as we bring our products to market. Coupled with follow-on investment from our long-time backers, Phoenix Sustainable Investments, we’re in a fantastic position to accelerate our growth and deliver even more value to our customers. We’re excited about what lies ahead!
Another highlight of the month was our attendance at the Energy Capital Partnership 2024 Autumn Conference, held at the University of Wolverhampton’s Springfield Campus. The event focused on energy system innovation and the West Midlands’ pivotal role in driving the transition to net-zero. We were inspired by expert presentations on the new Regional Energy Strategy, collaborative discussions, and innovative projects that are set to transform the region’s energy landscape.
Networking with industry leaders and policymakers was invaluable, and we’re eager to implement the insights we gained to support future energy transformation efforts.
We also had the opportunity to attend the latest Phoenix Futures Workshop on the theme of “Creating Connected Communities.” Hosted at the historic Commemoration Hall in Huntingdon, this event brought together regional leaders like Dr. Nik Johnson, Mayor of Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, to discuss sustainable growth, new transport technologies, and decarbonization strategies.
The workshop was filled with engaging discussions, including perspectives from local youth, and emphasised the importance of community collaboration to achieve net-zero by 2035. It was an inspiring day that highlighted the critical role of innovation and inclusivity in shaping the future of our communities.
Lastly, we are incredibly proud to announce that our Co-Founder and Chief Product Officer, Rosie Morgan, has been shortlisted for Computing’s Women in Tech Excellence Awards!
Rosie is at the heart of our product development, always ensuring the user experience comes first. We often say she’s the co-founder who gets things done, and this nomination is a testament to her dedication, leadership, and talent. We couldn’t be more thrilled for her and wish her the best of luck!
